Caracol - Group D (South Acropolis) ( 98 / 4 ) Probably Elite residential and administrative center. Beautiful place Before and after the clearing. |
Caracol - Archeologist's Camp ( 18 / 0 ) Between the B group and the A group |
Caracol - Walk to the two Cibas ( 21 / 1 ) and a lot further to Group D (South Acropolis) |
Caracol - Raleigh Group ( 7 / 2 ) A small group off the path to the Cibas, named for the excavation team |
North-west group ( 1 / 5 ) This area has not been cleared, much less stabilized or restored. |
Road to Caracol ( 23 / 0 ) It was better than a horse path, but when it rained it was a challenge. Now it is Paved!? |

North-west group - The not-a-twin-pyramid-complex group. - This has the geometry, but it is upside-down (range building is on the north), the enclosure building has high walls, and not oriented true NS/EW. It also isn't cleared out of the jungle, and I didn't spend enough time there. |
